Halloween Night 2005

Kate and the two Ashley's on their way out for Halloween night. They didn't really color coordinate their outfits, they just ended up that way. I told them next year they should go as Charlie's Angels. We had lot's of kids, but we have far too much candy left over. Jeff is always afraid of running out of candy before running out of kids. This is one holiday he really likes.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Halloween in Las Vegas

Is this the latest addition to the Siren's of TI (formerly Treasure Island) or Kate dressing up for Halloween? See the link to the Siren's below and decide for yourself.

One of the advantages of living in Las Vegas is you don't have to dress like the Michelin Man to go out trick-or-treating, but the disadvantage is you can wear costumes like this. I'm sure this is a costume that won't get lost in the closet, like so many other things. and will be around for many years to come.

Baby Nichole Says Hello from San Diego

Now here's a face any mother would love! The latest, greatest addition to the family looks like she has us figured out already and her arrival on August 31st, was greatly anticipated by the whole family. This may be her blog debut, but it is only the beginning for Nichole Isabel Anne Payne!!

Survivor Cafe at the Heart Walk

As a member of the American Heart Association Heart Walk planning committe I was asked to be in charge of the Survivor Cafe, which I was glad to do. We gave it a Hawaiian "Survivor" theme and everyone wanted to hang out here. Albertson's donated so many yogurts and bananas that we ended up letting in anyone who wanted to join us, they just didn't get a survivor t-shirt or hat. October 15th turned out to be a perfect Las Vegas weather day for this event.

Little Survivor

This little boy is just one of the many children we saw at the Suvivor Cafe on Saturday, and it is a harsh reminder that cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of birth defects. I'm proud to say that our GES team raised over $6,000 this year to help all the children out there with heart defects to be kids first and patients second.

Remembering Loved Ones at the Heart Walk

These signs were up along the walk route in honor, support or memory of those whose lives have been touched by heart disease or stroke. I also wanted one for Auntie Gwen, but I didn't get it submitted in time. There is always next year. There was also a sign in honor of Matthew King, which we gave to his family along with a survivor t-shirt, new this year, and a suvivor hat. Thank you for all your support!!!

Model Friends

Kate made many new friends while modeling, including Kumi who is from Japan.

Model Daughter

Kate enjoyed her first paying job as "Katy Carr" September 9 - 12 modeling prom dresses for Maggie Sottero at a Bridal Convention in Las Vegas. She may have been the youngest, but she was still the tallest and showed off the dresses beautifully while making new friends along the way.
